Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without my favourite china! Mason’s Christmas Village ! I started collecting it when it was first produced in 1983! I remember buying one mug in a shop in Totnes! It’s all that I could afford at the time!
Over 40 years later, my collection has grown to the point that when we had to downsize, I didn’t have the room to display it all as we had to buy a smaller dresser.
This year, I have kept some and passed some on to Nich and Lizzie as I know that they love it and that they will look after it.
Meanwhile…
I also love this delightful pack of napkins from Bluebell and Lark…
Along with another type of tree…a more recent buy from a local craft shop. I thought that the idea was simple but clever. This one features an area that we love to visit.
My own tree always has a vintage flavour…with 1950s baubles playing a huge part.

I love to see my old decorations each year, the oldest tree bauble is from mid 70's. I try not to get much new stuff, m daughter has asked for my glass tree decorations once I stop having lunch a big tree. Your Christmas looks colourful and bright.
ReplyDeleteIt's the little things that are the big things. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteA really festive Christmas, with so many lovely memories.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it fantastic to see all the Christmas decorations back out again, especially on the tree as there are so many family connections to each object.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful to have all these what some might say 'things' but they all mean more with memories through the years. I love the drift wood tree..
ReplyDeleteLove the China. So pretty on your dresser. B x
