Christmas bits and pieces!

Our simple, little, Christmas tree is finally decorated and the Christmas ‘flavour’ has arrived in the lounge.

Do you do ‘games’ at Christmas?

One member of the family always requests that I do ‘games’! Over the years, it’s been a bit of a family tradition. When we were younger, the ‘games’ were quite boisterous…and we’d scamper around the house doing treasure hunts, barging each other out of the way… and all sorts! But nowadays, these games are far more leisurely, sitting down with a booklet and pen.

And so…so far I’ve just planned:

a) A Christmas quiz consisting of 35 Christmas themed questions.

b) A  guess the ‘famous faces’ game ( old mags come in handy for this!)

c) A ‘ guess the advert’ game ( advert pages ripped from mags with the appropriate wording deleted)

d) A ‘guess the famous novel’ from the endings.

I quickly knocked up some small booklets for people to write their answers…and not forgetting some small prizes! What fun! Mr Snippets is so excited! 😂😂😂

 

And finally,  you might recall that I mentioned the lovely illustrations of Lucy Grossmith. She designed the cover of last year’s Country Life. I discovered that she has also designed this year’s as well…isn’t it lovely?
