Since the beginning of December, my lovely daughter, who is an artist, has worked like a Trojan to bring joy, cheer and fun to the town where we live, Newton Abbot! Various businesses in the town ( and also some further afield) have employed her to paint their windows, all of which add to the festive flavour.
And all of this in between doing face painting parties, commissions, plus her work for a charity, etc etc etc.
Here are a few of the windows that she has painted.
And if that’s not all…she’s even managed to do her own window at home…
And now, she has finally put down her paintbrush and can enjoy her own, family Christmas.
I know how many hours she has given to this and how back breaking it can be…and not forgetting that most of this work is done from the inside!
I’m so very proud of her!

ReplyDeleteWow how amazing, what a talented daughter you have. Does she attach a paper version of her design to one side of the window and trace it to make sure it fits the window or do it all freehand? Very cheerful and festive.
ReplyDeleteThank you. She does a visit to see what the customer wants and then she does a quick sketch on paper…sends it to them to ok it….and then the rest is all freehand.

We are sure that everyone who commissioned her must be thrilled and the people of Newton Abbot must have broad smiles as they do their Christmas shopping.
Such wonderful art work. Your daughter is incredibly talented. It is lovely that lots of people will get to enjoy her work when they are in Newton Abbot over Christmas.
