It’s a funny thing this! Above, is a rose that I’ve admired for some time: ‘For Your Eyes Only’. It flowered in June and now it’s even more profuse…BUT…just look at it! There are three different coloured blooms and when I looked , earlier there were two white buds!
Last week, I was thinking that the garden had gone a bit ‘off’ but as I walked around today, I can see so much colour and the roses have loads of buds!
And so here, above, we have:
Top row: ‘Peace’ rose bud; Pansy; Dahlia ‘Penhill Watermelon’; Dahlia ‘Garden Wonder’; ‘Roald Dahl’ rose;
Next row: Viola; ‘ Ruby Celebrations’ rose; ‘The Poet’s Wife’ rose; ‘Its a Wonderful Life’ rose; Hydrangea;
Next row: ‘ For Your Eyes Only’ rose ( x3) ; ‘Peace’ rose; Echinacea pink;
Next row: Echinacea yellow; Geranium pink; Calibrachoa, ‘Million Bells’; ‘Giggles’ rose; Cosmos dark pink;
Bottom row: Cosmos light pink; Calibrachoa ‘Double Can Can’ ; ‘Devonshire Dumpling’ Fuchsia; Marjoram; ‘ Roald Dahl ‘ rose.
All beautiful, colourful and many scented and just when you were beginning to think your garden was about to go to sleep.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a gardener at all but I'm learning that things often have waves of flowering, with a lot of blooms then none, then another lot of flowers. I haven't yet worked out how to get constant colour in the two tubs on my balcony.
ReplyDeleteWhat a glorious rainbow of flowers you have in your garden!
ReplyDeleteAugust still seems to be packed with lots of colour in your garden.
