Well, that’s Tuesday done and Wednesday done!
And now Thursday is almost done !
Thursday is ‘William day’. However, his mummy and daddy both have the day off and they have been out for a special lunch to celebrate the day that they got together! So we have had William for part of the day.
I’d put on my crafting hat on Monday, wondering what I could do with William. The theme of ‘Love’ came into my head and as it’s St Valentines Day, tomorrow, I thought we could do something based on that! As well as this, William went to a local farm at the weekend and held a chicken…
And so with ‘chickens’ and ‘love’ in mind…as I already mentioned, I gathered together a few bits:
William can’t really manage scissors yet and so I cut the appropriate pieces for him..he’s good at using the glue and sticking!
Meanwhile, yesterday, late afternoon, we sorted out some better lighting in my workroom. My desk is on the other side of the room from the window and I was struggling for light as the day progressed. Contemplating whether to change the room around, which would be take some time, my lovely other half suggested that I have one of his large angle-poise lamps. Oh my goodness! Once that was in situ I realised how much I’d been struggling! That done, I was able to start something new rather than shift furniture!
I thought I’d make a ‘one off’, altered clipboard and so I rummaged through the large pile of scrapbook papers, before deciding on this paper. I only had one sheet of each of these designs (and I can’t recall where I bought them), so I had to make sure that I cut it all correctly.
And then I made some pockets and looked for a few embellishments to coordinate. I have a box full of Sizzix letters as well as the large paper flowers, that I bought a long time ago from a seller in the USA…in the days when postage was cheap!
And then I looked through my box of tags…
I also raided these notecards…
And it all started to come together, quite nicely.
I then turned my attention to the back of the clipboard…
I hope that someone loves it enough to buy it!
