Ebaying, looking towards Easter … and free samples! ๐Ÿ˜

Today, I feel a mixture of being crestfallen and cross!
I’ve been eBaying for quite some time; things have pottered along quite nicely...that is until now. And I’m not sure what to do!

Ebay, in its wisdom, has decided to withhold payments for TWO WEEKS, if you don’t send your packaged via a tracked service.

For me, this is fatal, as apart from the fact that I only use the local post box, to send via a tracked service would double my postage costs; people just don’t want to pay it! My fabrics and crafty bits are not that expensive and I can honestly say that I probably have something go missing just once a year. So I’m not going to bump up the postage costs just to give the post office more money. (And don’t even ask me to use Evri!)

And so what to do? So many sellers are saying that’s it and they are already pulling out of eBay. I’ll probably do the same as I’ve always done it for fun, not business.

But, where else would you have to wait two weeks for your money if you sell something? It’s simply not fair.

Until I decide what to do, I’ve made a separate blog page for selling my crafty bits and fabric pieces.

I’ve not yet fiddled around with the layout, as I need to familiarise myself with what to do!

Meanwhile, we’ve not been going out and about that much in this cold, damp and miserable weather and so I’ve taken myself to the craft room… frequently!

At the weekend, I gathered some pastel papers, embellishments and tags that I’d found ages ago, and I knocked up some pretty envelopes and put together these…

(I feel as if I’m back in the primary school classroom!)

I only made six of these but I thought they would be handy to give, maybe with some money instead of an egg …or even as well as!

You can find them here

Moving on , a good friend told me about this site: ‘Little Greene’. This company sells paints  and wallpapers…and they send out free samples! And so I sent for some:

They even send them in a delightful envelope!

You can find ‘Little Greene’, here

Finally…I just had to make a birthday card for an important person in my life…my granddaughter, Meggy! She will soon be 14 years old.

I used a rubber stamp from the ‘Penny Black’ range…I’ll blog about those another time; they are lovely!

And now, I have to put on my thinking cap as I have William on Thursday and that means planning something crafty!

  1. It's most unfair, Sal, and it sounds as if they are shooting themselves in the foot here.

    LOVE the cards. xx
