I couldn’t resist blogging, again, about these fabulous fabrics!
Way back, in 2008, I was selling Debbie Mumm fabrics…in fact I still have a few for sale…but these particular ‘housewife’ designs really are my favourites. I’ve kept some aside for myself as I can’t bear to part with all of them.
Talk about being happy in your work!
These fabrics amuse me and so I’m re- vamping the blog post that I posted previously, just to bring a smile to everyone’s faces !
Here I am!
Being a superwoman is jolly, hard work but I always try to do it with a smile, as you can see!
I rushed into town very early, in order to avoid paying the parking fee ( as it doesn’t charge until 9am!) This gave me 30 minutes to whizz around like a mad thing…but I do love a brisk walk and carrying those heavy bags make it all the more enjoyable! 😂🤣😂
And then it’s back to the kitchen, (my favourite place), to knock up a tasty treat or two…and I keep smiling!
Washing is next on the list! Well, there’s nothing like the smell of freshly, laundered clothes to keep me happy! ‘Whistle while you work’, is my motto!
And in comes my husband and I’m able to greet him with a smile, carrying his ‘elevenses’. He’s had a busy morning ( watching the cricket) and so he deserves it!
What a very lucky man! 😁
Ah! That’s better! After a very short break, I can really get stuck in to the rest of the housework. I’ve some mending to do…yippee! It’s a good job that my mum taught me how to darn! It saves a fortune in new socks, don’t you know! 😁😂🤣
And after that most satisfying task, it’s time to sweep the patio and paths; the fresh air will do me good, that’s for sure!
Back indoors, after that fresh air, I‘m keen to move on with the hoovering! I love hoovering and it’s thank goodness for the new Dyson, that my dear other half gave me for Christmas! 😆😂. I was so happy that I squealed with delight when I ripped off the wrapping paper. It’s a vast improvement on my old hoover.
Do you remember the Hoover motto… ‘It beats as it sweeps as it cleans’? I remember the saying was etched on my mums hoover…and it remains etched on my brain!
Ironing! Oooh, don’t I just love it?! It’s my very favourite task! 😂 I have to get those collars and cuffs just right! And have you noticed that the smile just goes on and on…
And finally… that’s my morning done and dusted (That is dusted, hoovered, cooked, cleaned, washed, ironed, swept, shopped etc!) and…its thank the Lord that I’m too old to have another one of these! It would really cramp my style, don’t you think?
