What to do through the winter months? I thought about this in October… and then Christmas took over; I pushed aside thoughts of the winter months. My craft room became a dumping ground for Christmas presents etc etc and it’s only now that I’m tidy and ready to create!
And in this fabric roll…my tasty collection of hooks! …and plenty of them! No excuse now.
I can crochet and I enjoy it. I taught myself when I was in the 6th form and needed a bag in which to carry my tennis balls! LOL! I played a lot of tennis in those days. I remember that I even lined the bag and I took it everywhere with me!
After that, I didn’t do much crocheting until just before my first baby was born and I made a pram cover to pass the time.
Ever since, I’ve delved into crocheting, now and again, collecting a few books on the way.
So now I’m ready to roll…almost…there’s just one thing lacking! The yarn! So, yesterday,I took myself to a site called Wool Warehouse, where they have an amazing selection of yarn. Choosing the colours took an age!
After much deliberating, I chose what I think is a good selection! I’m really looking forward to seeing these ‘in the flesh!’
After all, everyone likes a good yarn, don’t they?😁
I've got the same small green book of crochet stitches. I look forward to seeing what you create.
ReplyDeleteWhen I read the heading I wondered if you means crochet or rug making!
ReplyDeleteI love the Wool Warehouse. Now that Deramores is no longer with us, it's the place to go!
xx
you chose some lovely colours, I can't crochet, well I could make a string or a few rows maybe but not follow a pattern so will enjoy seeing what you create :)
ReplyDeleteVery colorful Sal - can't wait to see what you create with all that beautiful yarn. I don't crochet but do knit. These days just basics, scarves and cowls - I can do that while watching TV in the winter evenings - then I don't feel like I'm wasting time!!!!! My days of making sweaters and such are over - I buy those and have far too many!

You are going to have a good time indeed Sal :) Such lovely covers and I do like your hook holder. I also wanted to mention your header photos with all the photos. Delightful collage!
