Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth

No words can express how I feel. So here are a few of my

                    favourite photos.

                                              Thank you, Ma’am

                                         Thank you, so very much.

  1. Thank YOU Sal for posting these great memories of our Queen, an amazing monarch and woman who will be greatly missed. I recall waving my Union Jack on the street in Newton Abbot when she visited Devon - I was in Primary school so must have been mid-'50's!
Long Live the King - may Charles do as great a job as his dear Mum.

  2. Sal, me again - waiting now for the State Funeral tomorrow. Have watched TV nonstop - though a sad time, I have loved all the pageantry and outpouring of love and respect by the people of Britain.
I went to Tor Primary School in Torquay - we were bussed to Newton Abbot that day in July 1952 (see my current blog post with photo of the Queen that day). She came for the Royal Agricultural Show in Stover. Were you there in NA then dear?

  3. Ah..well in July 1952, I hadn’t yet been born! So, I wasn’t there although I suppose that you could say I was in Newton Abbot, in a funny kind of way! I was born in Feb 1953 in a tiny house in the town! Because we had the luxury of hot water, my mum had me at home!

Lovely memories for you, Mary! And what a wonderful Queen….we've been so lucky!
