On the right lines! ;-)

I'm back! ;-)

You might have missed me?!

I had a slight 'mishap' on 5th Feb... (or maybe I should say, 'disaster'),

when I bore the brunt of the severe weather, which battered much of the

south west.

I have to admit that I was somewhat frightened as I bent... I buckled...

 and then I collapsed! ;-(

So many people depend on me, every day, you see.

I felt as sick as a pig, knowing that I had let them down

...big time!

And there I lay.

Injured and out of action;

wrecked, ruined and redundant;

and sad...so very, very sad.

An indescribable and miserable melancholy lay over me.

But, thankfully, not for long as my 'saviours'

burst into action!

My importance was too vital to let me lie

unattended for too long!

How grateful I am for that hard work and industry which

aided my recovery!

The constant care and attention, which I received, astounded me...

and soon brought me back to full recovery!

When the chips are down, in this country we rise to the occasion

and show what can be done to turn  disaster into

victory!!

I am back !

I am fighting fit and I am raring to go!

The South West is once more on the right lines!

And so, all that remains is to say a massive

'thank you' to that vast workforce; that wonderful team

of people at Network Rail, who worked day in, day out (and not forgetting through night

after night!); who worked over and above

in order to restore me to full health

(in record time, no less!!)

The doctors and nurses of the track have triumphed!

Visiting times are now declared permanently open!! ;-)

Please join me, raise your glasses and shout:

'Three cheers.....!!'

;-)

  2. Not so sure about Woo Woo...more a case of Choo Choo!
Hurrah for the 'Orange Army'! They must've worked like stink; and whoever came up with the idea of using the freight containers as they did deserves a medal.
Missed my trip to Plymouth a fortnight ago, but roll on October/November and I'll be back.
