How could you not want to live here?!
I would really love this to be the pathway to my home!
We're in Shaldon, which is situated across the River Teign from Teignmouth.
First stop...coffee and a snack at The Clipper Cafe...
I highly recommend this lovely cafe.
Clean, good food and good service.
That done, a mooch along the river's edge,
looking across to Teignmouth.
LOL..'Orsman'...somewhat apt....or maybe not...
he's the village butcher!
And just in case you fancy a quick trip across the Teign,
here are your ferry times:
Shaldon is an attractive little place; it even has a
Candlestick maker's abode...that is next to...
yes, of course...the butcher's and the baker's!
Spot the oddity...
A little old Morris 1000.
I reckon it really belongs here:
Delightful...and in Devon!
My kind of house. : )
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images. Looks like you had a lovely day.
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning place! When are you moving in?
ReplyDeleteMy grandparent always took their annual holidays in teignmouth.

What a delightful-deloverly tour of Shaldon, Sal! One of my favourite places, and the café is good, isn't it? Went there for a breakfast last year (OK, it was a late breakfast!) I red that those modern 'beach huts' where the Morris 1000 is parked are around the same price as a 4-bed det. house (£250K)! The thatched cottage is a delight, provided you are under 5ft 2in tall as no doubt it will have low ceilings inside! But cosy in winter and cool in summer.
ReplyDeleteI now want to visit Shaldon again!
