This morning, after I'd taught my lessons,
I had a 'drawer tidying session'!!
I didn't get very far because I stumbled across some books
which I'd kept...some little treasures!!
My daughter, Helen's first writing books!
I came across a few more interesting things too...maybe for next time!

I, too, have keepsakes such as this, but I think they're in the loft. Elder son wrote a little story (when he was in primary school) called Stick-up Man and Cycling Police Dog. I can't remember what it was about now, but I do remember the quicky title!

Well......they bought back memories, King Rollo and Sooty. My eldest son re-wrote George's Marvellous Medicine! I even had to go and ask his teacher for another excercise book so he could finish it off over the weekend! And he did! Took it into school the following Monday morning one and half exercise books and he didn't even have homework then!

ReplyDeleteI once had my handbag stolen...it wasn't the mobile phone lost, the credit cards I had to cancel or the £100 cash they had got away with...it was my little handwritten notes from my toddler boys tucked into my purse that I mourned the loss of more than anything! :-(
