What a delightful garden room, Sal! Love the arrangement of plant memorabilia, and the tea service on the trolley. Glad you managed to get a trolley - a neighbour, upon seeing mine, said that they actually parted with one which had belonged to her mother (or mother-in-law, I forget which) which even had little flaps on it to convert it into a table! I'd have loved that! What a lovely garden retreat you now have! Margaret p
This is just about the coziest little spot I have ever seen!! I would like to move right in!! I might add a foot stool and a good long book!! have fun!
Just a PS: two things I forgot to mention: 1. Love the Noddy cushion! Missed that earlier on! 2. When I was a child I collected two things: books (of course, what else did a girl in the 1950s collect?) and anything connected with beauty, i.e. perfume (and perfume bottles), face powder boxes, face cream boxes, talc tins, bath cubes, soap and soap boxes. I just wish I had them now. Why these spring to mind is that I displayed them similarly to how you, Sal, have displayed your garden memorabilia. I had a stand (which used to be in my parents' shop), a three-tier one, and on that displayed all the things I collected (I used to beg the tester bottles from the soignee ladies on the perfumery counter in the town's department stores!) And I would spend a happy afternoon, removing all the things, dusting them, and putting them all back in a different way! Margaret P
Oh Sal, what a beautiful space you have made to escape to!! It looks wonderful and I recognise some of your favourite things. I hope you get lots and lots of opportunities to hide away in there xxx
So lovely, just my kind of place! I'll be showing Mr Fixit and then we'll have a site meeting in the garden to discuss my long overdue garden retreat. Love Lesley X
Ooooooooooh! may I join you.....?
