'ello 'ello 'ello! Whats going on 'ere then ? ;-)

A certain someone's birthday is coming very soon!

But what to give him?!

Just after we were married, I recall racking my brains !

I had no idea what to get dear Mr S!

And then, lo and behold, I saw an advert in Country Living:

Dumb waiters, hand crafted!

' Ah ha ', thought I...so I rang the number in the advert

and after a long conversation and much secrecy...

Mr S 'number 2' was born!!

(OMG it's bad enough living with one of them, let alone two!!) ;-)

At the time, Mr Snippets was a proud member of the Devon and Cornwall Police

and so it seemed rather apt to present him with this lovely dumb waiter.

Incredibly, I think it's quite a likeness!! And I do remember

laughing my head off when it arrived!

Of course, he was not Mr Snippets at the time,

that name being relatively new!

Anyway...hope you all have a lovely weekend...and behave yourselves!

I'm off to Totnes tomorrow ... present hunting!

Hippy Birdy to you...er I mean me ;-)

I always love birthdays...does not matter whose it might be..but today...it was MINE!! ;-)
I cooked lunch for eight of us....and then the pressy bit... two lovely bouquets from Mr Snippets ,which coordinate with the lounge decor, perfectly !

This beautiful chalk board from Nich..

Along with this lovely book..I'll blog this one soon..it is fabulous!

My daughter Helen and son in law, Ben, bought me this fab book... so no excuse now, I have to get cracking on the crochet asap.

Along with...OMG Hotel Chocolat!! (And she chose pink)

and ...

Next, in walks my sister with a great big grin on her face and she was carrying something which looked like a roll of carpet..which turned out to be...a draught excluder from Laura Ashley..

Along with this cute rice bowl..which went perfectly with Helen's card...

And some lovely flowers..

Bulbs for the garden and this lovely trowel..from my Mum and Dad..along with some dosh ;-) ;-)
Oooh I wonder which website I will visit first, in order to spend that ..any ideas?!!!

And then..the kindness and thoughtfulness of a friend.

I opened my front door to a large box ..a spring bulb arrangement, in a trug..from
Michele of Cowboys and Custard
How thoughtful was that?!
Thank you so much, Michele. I am truly touched. ;-)
I'll take another photo when it is all in bloom..

So I suppose you could say that all in all..it's been a wonderful day!! ;-)

And there's more to add...
My lovely pupil ,Carla , arrived at my door...
She had made me a cake...

And now..you all know my age ;-)

What a great day!!
