Powderham

On Sunday we drove to Powderham, where we had lunch in the cafe and then a wander around the plant centre. The plant centre is run by ‘Urban and Rural Plants’ and they also have an outlet in Exeter.

‘Urban and Rural Plants’ took over the plant centre a few years ago, from Toby Buckland, and it has continued to provide top quality plants. I love a visit because there is always a superb selection of healthy plants at very reasonable prices.

Enticing displays….

                           I’d not seen Edelweiss in a while…

Lovely Hostas…teamed with French Lavender…I rather liked the plant stand, too!

I noticed plenty of Fuchsias …a plant that seems to go in and out of favour.

And there was a fine array of Hydrangeas and Geraniums.

It’s not a huge plant centre but what they have is always so lovely and there’s certainly plenty of choice.

  1. Seeing a host of healthy plants is inspiring. It's difficult to resist filling the trolley with delightful specimens.
