It’s been a long old winter, as well as being exceedingly wet! But at last we have a dry day, warmer too!
And having planted my newly acquired dahlias, I took a break to look around the garden.
I had a shock when I ventured to the greenhouse and saw what greeted me.
I planted these old sinks in the autumn and I’d forgotten that I’d put in some tulips!
Lovely aren’t they?
Very pretty! Our tulips, apart from one or two, seem to be mostly very large leaves at the moment.
ReplyDeleteOh wow! The tulips are gorgeous in those old sinks. Who doesn't love primroses, just wish we could grow them here.
ReplyDeleteYour green thumb has been working overtime by look of it Sal - just hope your drier and warmer weather stays around. We've had a lovely pre-spring for the garden and everything is coming along now - first azaleas blooming which is always a happy sign here in the southeast. We've had landscapers working on our water runoff problem in back - a heavy deluge brings a lot on water under the fence from property behind us which is so annoying and makes a lot of work for Bob. Fingers crossed it works after spending
quite a chunk of cash!!!!
Hope all well in Newton Abbot - sadly I don't think we'll be home this year to meet up again, just too many other projects to keep the house in good repair! Struggling with major plumbing issues now the house is aging, had a new roof recently, painter in this week, new back deck being installed come May.
Next year we should make it though, God willing.
You and Terry take care XX
The tulips are beautiful. What a lovely surprise. Xx
