A pre Christmas ‘jolly’ in the South Hams

Yesterday, we had a lovely day out!
Having completed all our preparations for Christmas, it was time to relax, chill and enjoy
the last few days before Christmas Day.

So, we invited my sister and her husband to come with us on a jolly trip to The South Hams, one of my favourite parts of Devon. Do join us!

Our first stop was Kingsbridge. Just outside this lovely town, is a place called Noyces. Not only does it offer a garden centre and outdoor furniture, it also has the most delightful gift shop and small cafe.

There were also loads of houseplants on offer and plenty of choice for containers too.

And there were gifts galore, including this lovely clock!

Coffee and a very long browse, finished, we then made our way to Avon Mill; I’ve always enjoyed this garden centre.

The weather was so warm, that we actually sat outside for our second cuppa and as we did so, a Robin sat patiently waiting for crumbs.

We were exceedingly lucky with the weather! And we all arrived home feeling quite content and chilled.

  1. I love the South Hams and try to get a quick visit there when home. Slapton Sands (or Rocks as hubby has always called that beach!) is always a stop too with the amazing WW2 story involving the American training tragedy attached to that particular area.
Love those shops you visited - and the sweet robin. Did you buy something special to take home?
Happy Christmas Sal, may you and your family have a joyous time.
Blessings for 2023 - good health and much happiness.
