                 We’ve done it! We’ve reached the final of Euro 2020! 

It’s not been easy but through sheer grit, determination and a ‘never give up’ attitude,we will play against Italy, at Wembley, on Sunday.

The phrase ‘ There’s no I in team’ comes to mind, having watched this group of footballers throughout the competition. They certainly are very well disciplined and focused. I’ve been critical of the style of football because I prefer to watch route one football with plenty of goals…after all, that is the aim of the game.

However, we must have done something right!

I always say that it’s far better to lose in a final than lose in a semi final. At least you have the joy of playing in that final, experiencing the atmosphere, (which in this case will be electric!) and savouring the flavour of the big occasion.

I believe that it’s been a team effort. But if I had to pick one England player who has been a lion throughout, then that player is Harry McGuire. The passion on his face says it all…

So … my seat is booked..just no-one disturb me on Sunday evening!
