We’ve not been walking as far, just lately, simply because the ‘other half’ is decorating the lounge and I’ve been busy with teaching as well as various gardening tasks. However, we usually walk to the post box on most days and that means an amble through the church yard, a wander along a short path - which is dotted with flowers in the verge (Primroses, Violets. Celandine, Dandelions) - and then a stroll back to where we started. That’s joyful enough for me!
Someone had laid a fresh and pretty bunch on a grave..a delightful colour combination too...that shows to me that someone has thought, carefully, about their choice. Very lovely indeed.
On our return trip, I always like to take a few extra steps via our front garden, and look at the ‘wheelbarrow progress’. Each day it changes, albeit in a subtle way.
This was yesterday...
The old wheelbarrow has certainly gone from strength to strength. The Tulips have been a splendid sight. And as for the Pansies! They push their pretty faces forward as if to utter, ‘Greetings!’ to anyone who might pass by. I love Pansies. How can you not smile when you see such a happy band of loveliness?
So....I give to you...
Wheelbarrow progress, from the present to the past...
I think my dad would be happy knowing that something he used for many years, is still coming in very handy...after all, without it, where would I be? No Tulips. No Pansies. No blog post! π
Really! Really!
