Babbacombe and St Marychurch

There are some very pleasant areas in Torbay.

 Babbacombe and St Marychurch are two such places.

There is such an air of peace and calm and even though the day

was a little overcast, we didn't really notice the clouds.

I have to say that in South Devon, the park departments really do excel;

the floral displays are beautiful here.

And of course, coupled with the view,

 (on a good day you can see across Lyme Bay to Portland),

you'd have to go a long way to beat Babbacombe.

This is the kind of place where you stroll or amble...or words of that sort!

Which is what we did, today.

Just around the corner from Babbacombe is St Marychurch,

which we tend to visit frequently for coffee or lunch... and a mooch.

Simple pleasures... which cost very little!

Have a happy weekend, everyone.

  1. Lovely pix, Sal. As I think you know, St Marychurch is where I spent my childhood and youth! Loved it there.
