A lovely walk and then... OMG!! ;-)

Paignton 5pm yesterday...and what a warm spell we are having here in sunny South Devon!

We had spent the day doing a few jobs and decided to venture out later in the day.

So we jumped on the train ..a ten minute ride and we were there.

We walked around to the harbour, a very pretty area.

We then walked all along the sea front and it was bliss.

With few people around, the gentle lapping of the waves on the shore

was pleasant music to our ears.

It was a lovely walk.

BUT THEN... OMG!

Making our way back to the town, we happened to pass this hotel.

I had to look twice at what was going on.

It seems that they have their dates all wrong, is all that I can say!!

Christmas decorations everywhere!

SHAME ON THEM!!

Why on earth do we have to have all this on October 20th?

Disgraceful.

(In fact, I don't even know why I am giving them the publicity!)

I just think that anyone who puts up Christmas decorations

in October, should be ...well...you know!

;-)

  2. Could they be hosting Tinsel & Turkey holidays? We have them here on the IOW. Coach loads of visitors have 3 day breaks, pretending the days are Xmas Eve, Xmas & Boxing Day. The coaches are also decorated.

  8. That is disgraceful - but then I don't even think about Christmas till 27th November (my sons birthday is the 26th November), then I only THINK about it, nothing is done till the week/days before Christmas!

  10. This hotel, not a spit from the lovely Palace Hotel where we regularly have coffee (the best in the Bay, and in comfort, too!) has their deckies up early I think because they cater for those coach parties who 'do' Christmas if not the whole year around, then for about three months before Christmas! Mad to us, but there's nowt so queer as folk! And, if it brings money to the Bay, good luck to 'em, even though I like to keep Christmas until at least December. Margaret P
