For sale! ;-)

As John Keats once wrote, ’A thing of beauty is a joy forever’.
This very aptly describes ‘Woodpeckers’, a delightful and unique,
detached home, situated in the small village of Teigngrace.

Standing in approximately a third of an acre, the garden at Woodpeckers offers a fantastic variety of birdlife (45 species at the last count); indeed it is a bird lover’s paradise! The current owners have enjoyed many hours of feeding the birds, including tamed Pheasants from hand as well as watching the birds, particularly the Great Spotted and Green Woodpeckers, from which the property derives its name.

Peace, tranquility, seclusion and privacy are in abundance at Woodpeckers and yet the property has good access to the A38/A380 and the market towns of Newton Abbot, Ashburton and Chudleigh as well as Bovey Tracey, the gateway to Dartmoor.

A special feature of the garden is the recently erected summerhouse. There is
also a large garden shed and greenhouse. The garden is surrounded by many species of mature trees, which complement each other and offer complete privacy.

Inside, the house, which has been much improved by the present owners,
offers very spacious accommodation. This includes a large, double aspect, fitted kitchen with a 6 ring Britannia range and built in dishwasher; a Utility room offering space for a washing machine, tumble drier and fridge freezer; a lovely light and airy double aspect lounge with a patio door leading to the main garden; a loft conversion with master bedroom and en-suite and plenty of eaves storage; 3 further good sized bedrooms, (one with a patio door leading to a vegetable garden); a modern bathroom;  a  study (or bedroom 5) with a patio door leading to a covered patio and a very spacious and welcoming hallway.

Woodpeckers, has full UPVC, quality, double-glazing, fascia and guttering. Each window and door is protected by a comprehensive alarm system. The home is warm and comfortable, enjoying the benefits of cavity wall insulation. There is a garage and adjacent carport offering plenty of storage.
The driveway affords ample parking for up to 5 cars.

This is a lovely family home, in which to relax and enjoy the full benefits of rural life.  There are easy, accessible walks on the level, to either the River Teign, where you can catch a glimpse of the Sand Martins and Kingfishers or Stover Country Park where you can see other wildlife.

‘Woodpeckers’ is an impressive home in idyllic surroundings and Complete Estate Agents highly recommends viewing!

So, that's it..we're up for sale!

It's probably been one of the hardest decisions we've had to make

in a long time!

That said, we know that it's the right one

and if we can sell , we'll be off to pastures new.

If we get a buyer, then whoever takes over at Woodpeckers

 will be most fortunate!

You can't put a price on the beauty that is a permanent feature here

and we've certainly had 11 years of pleasure.
