There was this tree....

Now here's a strange thing!

This morning, we made a quick trip down the A38 to Ashburton.

When we got there the little town was busy...but alas

some shops had decided to stay closed.

Oh well...their loss!!

That said, one of my favourite shops, 'The Snug',

was open!!

And in pride of place at the front of the shop was this beautiful vintage tree,

full of the loveliest, vintage decorations.

No photos can do this justice as it was stunning!!

As was the rest of the shop...well that was displayed

in true Ros style...

But it was that tree which I could have gladly brought home with me!

I couldn't have the whole tree but I did buy a tiny part of it...

Exeter had better be open tomorrow !

And Mr S is cooking New Years Eve

do expect culinary delights on the blog, very soon!

Hi Sal, it all looked wonderful but I can see why the tree stole your heart, it was amazing. Your choice of decoration was perfect, so unusual.
Hope Mr. S's New Year's dinner is delicious, we will be having duckling but DH won't be allowed near it until it is ready for the fork.
Hope Exeter shopkeepers have heard you are coming and open their doors for you.

What a marvellous tree .... shouldn't be too difficult to make one .... if I start now perhaps I'll be finished by next year! Happy New Year Sal x

I totally agree what a beautiful tree and what a great way to display pretty vintage baubles. The whole shop looks really lovely, just my sort of place. I hope you have a wonderful new year.

I really like the primary colour blanket too.

Have a wonderful hubby-cooked dinner and a very happy New Year. xx

We discovered this shop last time we visited Ashburton a few months ago. The tree is beautiful.
All the best for the New Year.
