Vintage at the hall! ;-)

This fabulous town hall was the setting for the very first vintage fair

in Tavistock, yesterday.

And so, off we set at 7am for a jolly journey across the Dartmoor,

which wasn't really that jolly as the heavens opened up

at one point !

But the sun came out...eventually.

The day was superbly organised by Sian King.

I don't know how she managed it but the crowds rolled in

from the moment the doors opened until the fair ended at 4pm.

A fair for which Tavistock has long waited, I think!

There were plenty of lovely things on offer too...

I loved this china!

A grand gathering of goodies...vintage of course!

It was lovely too see a few friends, who popped in to see us...

and lovely to make a few new friends too!

Well done to Sian for getting this event off the ground !

I can't wait to return for the next one!

The day whizzed by and I didn't even have time to look around Tavi

as we were soon wending our weary way back across the moors

to pop into an event celebrating 100 years!!

More about that later!

;-)

  1. It's a beautiful hall, isn't it, Sal! That's a statement, not a quesiton! And what lovely goodies on Sale. Wonder what the 100 year celebration can be that you have hinted at ...?
