My two favourite shops in Newton Abbot must've received a warning
that I was nipping 'down town' today!
Because, by jove, they were looking their best for me!
'Vintage Now Interiors' , owned by my friend Jane, was a riot of colour,
not to mention full of the most gorgeous goodies.
Secondly, in Newton Abbot we have the best Oxfam bookshop ever!
My photos no way do this window justice!
There's a young girl who, in her own spare time,
works on the window displays at this little shop.
She puts together the most fabulous displays on a variety of themes.
Going 'down town' really isn't so bad at times!!
And tomorrow, Mr S has the day off and we're going
for a 'romp' !!!
A retro romp no less !!
Watch this space!
;-)
OoooooooooH! That looks fun

Such beautiful places to visit. Thanks for the tour.
ReplyDeleteooohh you're going to the romp! I've just invited you on FB. Are you going for the day? I've heard Sat will be the best day but I couldn't have the day off. I will be selling my wares (?) on Sunday.
ReplyDeleteLove the window display, I have that record player.... got it for Christmas :) x
Those displays in the bookshop are fantastic, the one in Norwich is really boring and quite intimidating to go into.

Oooh, lovely, lovely pix! So evocative of a bygone era even though we now look at it (perhaps a bit too often) through rose-tinted glasses - but I love that Oxfam window. Indeed, I have some old 78s and an old wind up gramophone!

Our charity shops have brilliant books too.
