The Exeter Festival Craft Fair

On the way to Chipping Sodbury , on Friday, we stopped off at Exeter to look at the Exeter Festival Craft Fair.
This takes place on the Cathedral Green.

There's just one thing wrong with this fair...there's never enough vintage! Never!
In the picture on my header , representing 'vintage', is the lovely Amanda Critchlow.
Those of you who attended the V&H Fair in May might remember
Amanda as she was there with her stall, 'Vintage Inspiration'.

I met her a few years ago at Exeter and she sews the loveliest things!

Amanda was the star of the fair for me.

I wandered around whilst Mr S went off to the Apple store!

Here are a few snippets of what was on offer.

Lunch on the cathedral green was much enjoyed and then we had to fly...we had a date with Shepton Mallet and I knew that within an hour or so, I most certainly would get my fill of vintage..which I will share with you tomorrow!!

  1. You're right there is never enough vintage at the Exeter Craft Fair! I have seen Amanda before there and her stuff is really lovely. Didn't make Exeter this year either which is annoying!
Hope everyone had a great time at Chipping Sodbury yesterday.

  4. Oh, dearie me, I forgot the Exeter Craft Fair which is always fun ... I like seeing the diversity of what people make. I don't make anything (apart from a mess) nor feel inclined to sit and sew or cut and stick, but I like to see the handicrafts of others.

  6. I think your photo's make it better then it was!! I went on Saturday lunchtime & didn't see anything that took my fancy. I didn't see some of the stall you put up, maybe I missed a bit. I did chuckle when I heard the lady selling hats say to a customer 'it's not to small, your head is very large'!!!! Customer service eh?? x
