Bits and pieces for Tuesday! ;-)

Here's a sneak preview of four lovely vintage rosy fabrics coming my way, very soon.

Meanwhile...more 'goings ons' in South Devon...

Not content with celebrating 61 years of being married, my mum had a birthday on Sunday.
And so off we all trooped, to have Sunday lunch here:

The Redcliffe

You get: a dining room with beautiful views of Torbay; good , old fashioned service; a pianist playing all the old favourites and lovely surroundings in which to to eat and relax.

  2. Lovely to think some of the old favourites that my Mum loved so much are still going strong. Fancy a Friday morning trip to Totnes or a jaunt to Ashbucket when it stops raining!

  4. An anniversary and a birthday! Congrats on both counts to your parents and to your Mum. Redcliffe has spectacular views, hasn't it? I shouldn't say this, really, as you have been celebrating, but in a way it was a celebration, too, as we had the reception tea after my Mum's funeral at the Redcliffe (in 2000) and it was so lovely ... we had the Dick Francis Suite, and as Mum had loved the gee-gees, then it was highly appropriate. The buffet tea was good, and the service excellent; a place which is old-fashioned enough to put people at their ease in such circumstances. Indeed, it was a very good party - just wish the person whose life we'd been celebrating had been there!
