Fridays is our Ashburton morning...but imagine my surprise (and squeals of delight!) when dear Mr Snippets said that he had to also nip to Totnes, on business!
;-)
How many girls get all that in one day, especially as we are going to Totnes again, tomorrow, for the day!
My first port of call, in Ashburton, was here.
It's a delightful little shop called 'The Snug' and it has an even more delightful owner, Ros!
It was lovely to meet her.
We plucked up the courage to ask her if we could take some photos and she was so thrilled to be asked...and so here goes....
I adore this shop!
As with all gorgeous shops like this, you need to take your time and walk around umpteen times to savour the flavour!
Swoon....!

What an incredible shop! I guess these shops you find weren't in Devon when I was in my teens - either that or I just never had enough money... I wonder which it was?
ReplyDeleteYet another lovely shop, Sal - where do you find them? What always intrigues me about shops like this one is how on earth the owner keeps it all looking so spick and span - they must have to work hard at keeping everything clean and tidy.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great shop! I love the counter most of all. I remember when they used to sell hosiery? in counters like that!!!
ReplyDeleteSuperbe boutique !!! Plein de jolies choses à admirer et à acheter !
ReplyDelete"see you soon" : we're going to Paris next week !
Have a nice week-end !
My kind of shop....oohhh, thanks for showing us round, I love the virtual tours!xxx

ReplyDeleteI came across Ashburton on the way home from visiting friends near Tavistock and instantly loved it, so many lovely shops there.. Am yet to get to Totnes though..can't wait.

What a super shop! I hope to get there during the summer.Sue x
ReplyDeleteI would spend far, far too much in there. I think it would make me want to move, more space for antiques!

Sal, good gracious you do visit some wonderful shops!
ReplyDeleteLove that shop!!! Will have to visit your neck of the woods sometime!!!
ReplyDeleteAlso I am intrigued. Sal.I was reading April's blog, 'Cake makes the world a better place', and you mentioned a Vintage & handmade Fair near her. Well, we both live in the same county about 12 miles approx from each other. Could you let me know more please??

Have a lovely weekend!!! ; )
Mrs S tells me that I soooooo love Ashburton.
ReplyDeleteFurther I have no time nor interest for The Exeter Inn, The Red Dog or The Royal Oak, nor perhaps The Vic or Bay Horse
She tells me that my favourite preferences are in particular shops such as Sarah's Lavender Box and The Snug
S'funny how I have been wrong all these years
Spookily the word verification was exeso
