Treats in Ashburton ;-)

This morning was a bit of a treat!
Amanda (Shabby Chick Totnes... Gorgeous stall!) and I whizzed to Ashburton!
Most of our time was spent having a long natter in Cafe Green Ginger
The other 1% of the time was spent drooling in just the one shop!

Sara's Lavender Box

And Sara and her mum were happy for me to take photos to show you all.
They are so friendly and helpful.
'Blog away', said Sara!

It's a shop to die for and I could easily have spent a whole day browsing, taking in the delights of the surroundings.

Everything is beautifully displayed.

You need to walk around this shop quite a few times to take it all in!

It's exactly my type of shop! I love it.

So much prettiness under one roof.

I love the old fashioned shop counters...

I love the vintage treasures on offer here.

Please drool with me!

I came home with...some lovely vintage fabric bits...;-)
...a lovely FQ of fabric.
....a lovely little Lavender bag...

...and this gorgeous little wash bag...

I also came home with...the urge to go again as soon as I can!

LOL;-)

  2. Lovely post: if you like that shop, then when you are in Chipping Sobdbury for the fair, come out of the town hall, look left down to the bottom of the street and there is a Shabby Chic shop there..... Also, if you get the chance to look, look at all the lovely doors in the high street. The bright blue police station one is a stonker... (not that I am implying any of you gals will be anywhere near the police station that day! :O) )x

  7. Lovely shop, lets try & go in my hols in June. As you know I don't get many days off, it's my last day off today for 7 days :( hate working. We have 20% off this weekend (with invite) if you fancy anything I'll be there all weekend :)

  8. What a shop Sal - how I wish I lived near enough to pop in and browse - I would certainly run out of money. Shall indulge myself on their web site now.

  9. I will have to visit ON MY OWN. If Himself accompanies me while shopping and I see something I like but obviously do not NEED, then it's the "But what on earth do you want ANOTHER ONE for?" whatever it is!
Thankfully Ashburton not far away ...

  10. How delightful :)

I know Ashburton very well infact have some family who have a holiday home on the main high street, though has been a couple of years now since I last visited.

Must go back, very soon ;)

Don't a couple of bloggers sell their wares from Sara's shop, it looks magical.

    Thanks for sharing

  12. Hello Sal
What another great post! I have not met Amanda yet but she sounds lovely. Her stall is fabulous! So many ME things. Your day out sounds like such fun. I am so looking forward to my holiday in South Devon at the end of July. I am going to make a point of going to some of the places you have mentioned. This shop will definitely be one of them.
So glad that you got the result you were wishing for at Wembley! Well done.
    Take care

  13. Hi, Great posting! Almost as good as making a visit there myself ... must go when we're less bogged down with home improvements ... maybe I'll deserve a treat & buy something at the same time:)

  14. Wow, that looks like my kind of shop too. I like colourful flowers and more cottage style than some of the more French-inspired shops that are popping up all over the place now. Looks lovely.

  15. Oh yes...that's just the kind of shop we like...we could spend hours in there. Love your purchases, that fabric's gorgeous!

  16. OH, I JUST LOVE SHOPS LIKE THAT! THAT IS ALWAYS A FUN DAY. AND CHATTING OVER COFFEE OR TEA IS LIKE ICING ON THE CAKE!

I AM HAVING A HARD TIME GETTING INTO SHABBY COTTAGE CHIC'S BLOG. I AM BEEING TOLD THAT THE BLOG HAS BEEN REMOVED! DO YOU KNOW IF THAT'S TRUE? I HAVE FOLLOWED HER FOR A LONG TIME AND JUST WONDERED IF YOU KNEW IF SOMETHING HAPPENED. I HAVE ALSO TRIED GETTING TO HER SITE FROM OTHER BLOGS THAT FOLLOW HER, WENT TO HER PROFILE AND THERE IS NO BLOG SITE MENTIONED IN HER PROFILE. I HOPE THIS IS JUST AN ERROR AND THAT ALL IS OTHERWISE O.K.

  18. Have to agree with you Sal! Its a lovely shop - hubby and I visited a couple of weeks ago...I bought some dried lavender, but could have bought more, if I hadn't already spent my money with Ros!
