Vintage oats!

Have you had your oats today? ;-)

I was browsing on ebay, last week, when I suddenly caught sight of these : eight vintage posters, which were published by the Quaker Oats Company, probably during the 1940s 0r 1950s,the idea being to get children to eat their oats.
So I put in a bid and because noone else bid, I won them for 99p!

Such quaint designs !

And little rhymes.

Quite charming in fact!

I love this one with the little scottie dog!

I've put them up in my classroom, along with all the other vintage bits which adorn the walls.'s a snippet of history for you:
