What a beautiful day it is today!
A perfect time to sit down with a cuppa and re introduce oneself to a few gardening books!
I have a few ...
But give me a pretty cover and I drool.
These are gorgeous...
The oldies are the best!
I have always loved the cover of this book...
And inside is pretty good too!
And as for this...
So simple!
Gardening loveliness!
Such lovely gardening books! I must get out in the garden soon and dust off the cobwebs (off me that is)!
ReplyDeleteHi Sal,
ReplyDeleteI just picked up a handful of Mr Cuthbert's guides on eBay, just love them but I see you have some different ones so the search continues... Love the Ladybird one too.
My greenhouse is still in the packaging outside, 3 years since it was bought, I've given up hope! I'll live vicariously through yours, if that's ok!

To think that I parted with my late Uncle's Mr Cuthbert series when he died ... but then, there were so many books I simply couldn't keep everything! But they really were soooo pretty! My favs are still the four Ladybird books in the What to Look for in Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. But this is a truly pretty post, so appropriate for a sunny spring day like today!

Sunny, spring days like today make me inspired to 'get going' in the garden. This is our first year with a greenhouse although we are getting most of our seeds going in the house at the momment. I look foward to perhaps seeing some pics of your garden during the summer.
ReplyDeletegorgeous books as always!
ReplyDeleteI don't care for gardening much but I love those books!
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty books - you must get lots of inspiration from them for your own garden. I could do with some in mine at the moment it was well laid out when we moved here but it needs a change and I'm not sure how to start it:)
ReplyDeleteLadybird books are so nostalgic, wonderful pictures.
ReplyDeletewhat lovely books the pictures are delightful, my job for this weekend to finish of spring cleaning the flower borders, alovely job I can't wait and your post makes me feel like gardening even more.

Lovely books, I see you have Geoff Hamiltons and I always enjoyed his programmes.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to gardening this year too - great post to inspire :-)
I've been wanting to get my hands on the Ladybird garden books for years, another one of those round tuit jobs! The illustrations really do spring to life. After seeing your lovely collection, I shall now be on the lookout for Mr Cuthbert's too. x
