Left overs!

It's amazing what you can do with 'left overs'!

After I had made some pin cushions, recently, I found that I had a few longish strips of felt (pastel colours), left over...and some coloured threads, which I found in Pound World.

This was along with a 'partly wrecked' vintage embroidered tablecloth,to which I had bravely taken the scissors for an earlier project!

So I looked at all this on Monday and thought..'Ah, purses! (of some sort!)'

I know..how about for...

I throw away far too many threads which could/should be used.

I'll pop them in my shop when they are finished!

  2. OK Sal ... what we need to know is HOW the heck do you make so much, all in one go?! Most of us just make one thing at a time, but not you ... you make a gazillion. And what's more they're ALL gorgeous!

  3. What a wonderful way to use your leftovers - a woman after my own heart - I hate to throw anything in the bin and I am accumulating scrap bags by the day .......

  4. So cute, great idea. I always put bits of embroidery cotton in my sewing box were they get tangled into a ball and then end up in the bin!

  7. Thread purses are such a great idea especially with the vintage embroidery. The embroidery shows us what we can aspire to with our own threads!!!
