I’m re watching ‘Endeavour’. Having watched it all the first time around, I thoroughly enjoyed it!
Set mainly in and around 1960s Oxford, ‘Endeavour’ is the prequel to the earlier and long running ‘Inspector Morse’. The young Endeavour Morse is portrayed by Shaun Evans, who begins his police career at Oxford City Police, as a young Detective Constable.
In addition to Endeavour Morse, there is a wonderful cast that includes the Thursday family. Roger Allam is superb in the role of DI Fred Thursday! Anton Lesser plays a wonderful role as Superintendent Reginald Bright and there are occasional appearances by Abigail Thaw, (the late John Thaw’s daughter.)
All in all, Endeavour is to be highly recommended! I’m now on series 5 and loving every minute… and it’s just the ticket for these dull, winter days.

I enjoyed the first meeting between Endeavour and Dorothea Frazil, (Abigail Thaw,) when she looks at him and asks, “Have we met?” and when he says not, says, “Another life then.”
ReplyDeleteI loved this series and could sit and watch it again such great acting from all but especially Anton Lesser (I remember seeing him as Richard III at Stratford) and Roger Allam. I'm gradually re-watching all the Foyle's War series at the moment:)
ReplyDeleteI think I would love to watch this!!! Which method are you watching it by/through? I used to enjoy Morse as a child!
