Yesterday, we found ourselves at Kent’s Cavern. It’s a favourite place for coffee even if we don’t go into the caves.
Many years ago, I took a class of children here, for a visit. My colleague also took her class and in that class was a 7 year old lad by the name of Nicholas…my son, Nich! My class spent half of the day at Kent’s Cavern and then the classes swapped over and my class spent the rest of the time at ‘Bygones’, which isn’t far away. It was a lovely trip, all connected with a project on homes.
The cafe was amazingly quiet, yesterday, but every time we visit you can be sure to see a coach load of children coming for their visit.
The day was glorious and we relaxed, catching up with each other’s news, as William has been on holiday! We missed him very much, last week!
We made our way back to Nich’s house, via Torquay.
Every other Wednesday has become a feast of fortnightly fun! We had another drink, then more nattering and I was treated to a slide show of their holiday on The Isle of Wight; they really enjoyed themselves.
And then we did the garden…as we always do!
Above is the planter that Mr Snippets made for William, and right now it’s going mad, with Nasturtiums all over the place.
Everything was looking splendid under the blue sky above and there was an abundance of bees, insects and butterflies too.
Moving on to today…and we are back to normal!
William starts school in September and Nich has been helping him to correctly hold a pencil! He’s doing really well now! We made some leaf bird pictures today…very simple art! 🐦 🐦 🐦
I love ❤️ the artwork. Beautiful photos of this captivating place.
ReplyDeleteA most enjoyable day for you all. William will start school at an advantage, being able to use scissors and hold a pencil in a proper tripod grip.
ReplyDeleteYour son's nasturtiums are beautiful. Ours haven't really got going this year, which is most unusual. We shall see!
William will do so well at school after all the fun things he has done with you.
ReplyDeleteThe Nasturtiums are glorious. I've grown some in my garden for the first time, this year.
ReplyDeleteWilliam always looks like he's having a wonderful time. Xx
