Glorious!

What a glorious May we are having, weather wise! This is where we often sit to rest awhile when we are in the garden doing various jobs. It’s a delightful spot! Wild and ‘jungle like’!

On Thursday, William sowed some more seeds. I found this pretty little set and what’s more it was in a sale…a bargain!

The seed packets were too pretty to throw away and so we glued them to the sticks, all ready for William to take home and add to his little garden area.

After that, we took his lunch outside. What a leisurely and lovely life!

In the garden, one Foxglove has decided to aim high and reach for the sky! The tallest Foxglove that I’ve ever grown!

But this weekend’s stars of the garden have to be the Geum! I have a number of different varieties and these, if my memory is correct, are Totally Tangerine and Fiery Tempest. I bought these two years ago and put them in large pots. I love the colour combination.

  1. My geums are not doing well, they are not dead but not much new growth, like you I think they are wonderful.

    1. I’m wondering if it’s because I did them in pots. I have some in the ground that are not as big and not in flower yet.

  2. What a great set, such lovely colourful seed packets. Let's hope all the seeds soon germinate for William.

Your garden is looking beautiful, and it looks like you'll be in competition with William very soon. Xx

  4. William is becoming quite a gardener - it's in the genes, obviously.

  5. The weather is glorious here too, but oh we need some rain, soon.

I like what you've done with the seed packets, as you say they're too pretty to throw away

  6. It looks like you have a lovely seating area to enjoy your garden. I'm still waiting for my foxgloves to flower but they will be worth the wait. Wonderful seed packets with their simple style pictures. I just love them.
