Thursdays…hurrah!

I’ve not quite finished these but I was feeling inspired by the garden, and so, yesterday, I started a bit of quick crafting before venturing outside.

Whilst I was tidying, I found a pile of ‘all sorts’…that is, a pile of items such as birthday cards, old paint charts, garden catalogues etc etc. Inside one of the birthday cards, I found this…

…a packet of wild flower seeds! I’d completely forgotten about these!

The mail then arrived and in one of the envelopes was this:

It caught my eye, a few days ago, when I was looking for some fabric to make some garden bunting! That’s my next task!

Eventually, I made it to the greenhouse and I sat on the bench doing various tasks in the company of :

…purple and white Honesty and two, lovely Erysimum. I’d sown the Honesty, last year, with seeds saved from the previous year’s plants. I love the seed heads!

Did you know that the Latin name for Honesty, is Lunaria. The name means ‘moon shaped’ and this refers to the shape and appearance of the seed heads.

I potted some Borage seedlings; I potted some small Primrose plants; I sowed the newly discovered, wild flower seeds; I generally tidied and then I met up with Mr Snippets, who had been window cleaning, for a well earned drink on the patio.

Buy now I was feeling quite weary and I was so glad that I’d already prepared William’s art work for his visit today…no prizes for guessing the theme!

At 8.30, this morning, William arrived, having had an early walk in the woods with his mum. And so the day has started early! He usually plays for a while  (thank goodness for Lego Duplo!) and then we do some crafting…

We’ve now exhausted Easter and all things Spring! What to do next week? Well he’s decided already!
Watch this space! 😁 🎂 😁🍰😁🧁😁🥮😁🍥
