Imagine my delight, on Thursday, as I took William for a walk around the garden and this greeted me! It’s Auricula ‘ Rachel Kinnen’. I’ve never grown that many Auricula. I bought these two at the beginning of March; they were quite small and have come on really well since I repotted them. I’ve always fancied having an ‘Auricula theatre’ but I’m not too sure where I’d site it!
Meanwhile…
We have a lovely clean patio, clean steps, clean paths etc etc! Mr Snippets has spent two days at this and even went out in the rain to finish off the job.
I bought some herbs, this week. I was waiting for ages for my favourite Thyme, Ruby Glow, and my second favourite, Redstart, to come back into stock (and I added a couple of Sage plants too!)
This gorgeous Acer adds contrast to our very green garden.

I mentioned, last year, that I left behind my large tin bath, when we moved house, and last year I finally found one for sale…in Tavistock! That meant a jolly jaunt across Dartmoor, which I always enjoy! But it was a bargain and well worth the trip. I’ve been gradually planting it with herbs and a little bit of creeping Jenny, to trail over the edges.
Finally, I ‘knocked up’ my bunting to hang in my ‘greenhouse/ raised bed / tucked away’ area. It will, no doubt, only last a season but that’s fine by me!Have a happy, Easter weekend!
Your garden is looking good, it's always a great feeling once the patio has been cleaned.
ReplyDeleteYour garden is looking beautiful. Mine is very much a work in progress, but I've noticed some shoots appearing in the raised bed this week. Xx
ReplyDeleteEverything is looking very spruce. I like your bunting - very jolly.
ReplyDeleteI need to look at our herbs - they should be shooting now.
Happy Easter! I love auriculas, there are so many different types, even powdery ones!
ReplyDeleteOur drive needs pressure washing, I'll just remind my hubby. The bunting will be fun to hang out for the Summer. I still have herbs to sort out and repot but that hasn't happened yet.
