Fine,dry and bright ;-)

A South Devon garden at 7.30 am; the birdsong is incessant

(and has been since 4am!)

and the sun is already making its presence well and truly felt.

I'm strolling around this little area...aka Nich's garden, which he tended

for a few years until he moved out, last year.

I feel a certain amount of responsibility to keep it looking

good and I've really enjoyed 'getting stuck in'!

It's only a small area and I am rather behind with things, so the Sweet Peas

will not flower until July; similarly, the bedding plants, which now fill his once veggie plot.

Meanwhile, I've planted Lavenders and plenty of herbs, so that the bees,

which frequent this little area by the hundreds, will be happy throughout the summer.

This is old shell case was given to me by my dad; given to him by his dad.

I'm not too sure from whence it came but it now houses this lovely Lavender

plant and sits, at peace, in a corner of the garden.

Have a happy day, everyone! ;-)
