On our way home from the Hampshire/Surrey border, we called in at Farnham, a busy little town
with much character. It was a flying visit as we had a few things to
pack in on our journey.

There's always plenty going on in Farnham and here's a lovely
little website with all the info etc.

We continued along the A31 to this delightful and pretty little town:
Alresford.
What a treat!
It's a lovely place with lashings of history as well.
Hmm...vintage tea parties!
Yes, I could live here, quite happily!! ;-)
Although it is the River Alre which flows through Alresford, it was on the River Itchen,
(which flows near Alresford), many years ago, where I first spotted
a Kingfisher. I'll never forget that sight!
Coffee and a stroll and we were back in the car,
and on our way home via Dorchester (where I forgot
to take out the camera!) and Honiton.
We had a lovely break. A change of scenery is always good for the heart,I think!
But there's nothing like being back home, in Devon!!
Back to teaching and back to a lovely fair...
This Saturday, I will be here:
