Looking back! ;-)

January brought...

A sad goodbye to loyal friends as they were packed away!
Crafting began again , in earnest!
And a crisis on Telegraph Hill as one son, his friend
and a clapped out old banger...were stranded!!

*****

February brought...

Bath time! A real treat!
More crafting...
and a potter around the lovely little Dorset town of
Sherborne!

(Oh and another birthday!)

*****

March brought...

The month when I got on my high horse
about ' copying ' !!
But, I still found time to make some bunting,
find an old Alice and Jerry reading book...
and way hay... Bath again, due to cheap train tickets!

*****

April brought...

April took us all over the place!
Paignton was looking very cheery .
St Ives...where the tide was out and so I had the CK shop all to myself!
Totnes ( Yes,Totnes pokes its nose into every month!)
Exmouth, where the best bit in the town is the park!

*****

May brought...

On our way to the V&H Fair at Chipping Sodbury,we
stopped at Shaftesbury for lunch.
And of course, nearer to home, a visit to Hill House Nursery
was an absolute MUST at this time of year!

*****

June brought...

I decided to have an ' At home sale' of vintage,
handmade and other bits!
We visited Shaldon very early one morning and wandered around
choosing our favourite abode!
A Vintage sale in Chagford saw us return with some fab bits for the garden!

*****

July brought...

My mum and dad celebrated another anniversary..61 years.
We took them to Cockington..gee up!
I decided that living in Newton Abbot was not so bad after all
And..the Shabby Vintage bloke group was set up at
The V&H Textile Fair!

*****

August brought...

We found the sun in Clun, Shropshire!
We called in at Hay on Wye on the way
Ludlow was a must as we tracked down the new Zani Lady premises
And then we found ourselves Cornwall bound
for the Homespun Fair at Portscatho.

*****

September brought...

The Rougemont Gardens , Exeter, were at their best!
We took a few days break in Dorset!
On the way , I grabbed a vintage satchel in Honiton
and then there was The Girls own store, Bridport!

*****

October brought...

Now married to Mr S for 17 years, he took me on a jolly
to his hometown of Brixham!
We had a lovely stroll around Wells after the first Frome
Vintage Bazaar
And ..Totnes again..for the brilliant Nostalgic Mix Fair!

*****

November brought...

Sal's Vintage Fabrics got a mention in Sew Hip Magazine!
The V&H Christmas Fair was excellent..Mr Custard
thoroughly enjoyed it!
A good friend and I had a pressing engagement and spent the morning
looking at vintage irons!
Mr S and I caught the train to Barnstaple!

*****

December brought...

Salisbury was simply beautiful!
Old friends returned to make their presence felt in our house.
A spot of Christmas reading got me into the spirit!
And...yes..late night shopping at Totnes is something
that everyone should experience!! ;-)

  7. Happy New Year Sal.. It is amazing how much one can cram into a year and yet without our blogs.. we probably wouldn't remember it all.

  8. Lovely post! Looking back on a busy year seems like fuel for the energy needed to kick start a new year (I'm not good in the dark days of january so I need all of the help that I can get:)
I recall a poem that I used in school which referred to standing at the gate of the year which I suppose is what we are all doing now. Happy 2011
