Do you ever get bored with Totnes? I hope not ! ;-)

Here's part two of the Totnes experience!
'This 'n That' is quite an experience... as many of you might have heard!

It always wins the 'Sal's Snippets prize' for the smallest shop packed with the most number of wonderful vintage and retro goodies.
It's your journey into the past without having to open any history books!
See what Lesley has on offer...

Well that was Friday!
Lunch in The Seven Stars finished it off nicely , thank you...
And just when I thought that we'd spend a quiet Saturday at home...we did something on impulse, jumped on a train and went ten minutes down the line ...here's a clue!

We went grockle hunting!!
More of that next time.... I have a garden to deal with today!

  7. Hi Sal, Where on earth can that be? Your pics make our shop look so much bigger and brighter than ever! It was great to see you and Mr S in Totnes last week. Had to chuckle when I looked back to that blog where you featured all of the suitcases and Mr S looking like a Betterware salesman. (Remember all those little tiny lavender polish samples?)...I digress...lots more cases arriving in next few days:)

  14. I always head for Lesleys shop when I go to Totnes, usually on a Friday. I am currently a grokle as I still live in the Cotswolds, but our dream move is getting nearer.
We were being grokles in Lyme Regis (Thurs), Studland Bay (Fri), Topsham & Bridport (Sat) and the wonderful Dairy House (Sun), the sun shone all weekend, so I reverted to clogs & jeans rolled up rather than socks & boots!
If as someone else suggested you went to Dawlish, have you recently seen that beautiful historical listed house just over the bridge in Shaldon is for sale, oh if only.....

  16. Does Tracey@vintagebothy mean the gothic style building that was formerly a tea room/restaurarnt/cafe called Hunters Lodge on the Torquay side of the bridge over the River Teign? If so, and you're missing their lovely cakes and pastries, they have moved their business to the Coffee House (I think) in St Marychurch, Torquay.
