Saturday Snippets and ..A GIVEAWAY!!

Early this morning, I was playing around with some small, pale green doilies and an old vintage embroidered tablecloth.
I cut around the embroidery...
I was not really sure what I was doing to be honest!
I think I was still laughing about the last blog post...LOL ;-)
I covered three pegs , found a selection of Easter ish/pastel papers
And thought...ah well what about an Easter giveaway!
So...just comment on this post and I'll get my mate 'Mohammed' to draw a winner on Monday evening!
;-)
The winner will get a pack of 20 scrapbook papers and...
a FQ of this Easter fabric..'A tisket a tasket'
Great for Easter crafts / cards etc!
I have two spare packs for sale (including the FQ), if anyone wishes to buy one.
£4 PLUS £1 p and p.
I scampered off to Exeter to see if there was any clue as to what would be taking up residence in The Orange Tree...!
Nothing!
Arriving home to my mail, I have to say that this softened the disappointment...

And I continue to live in hope!

A logger cuts down a beautiful forest because he is totally selfish and inconsiderate and cares nothing for the habitat of animals or the preservation of our woodlands. He does this so he can make a profit of £200. What do you think of this way of making a living? Topic for class participation after answering the question: How did the birds and squirrels feel as the logger cut down their homes? (There are no wrong answers. If you are upset about the plight of the animals in question counselling will be available)

Snippets,Subwoofers and Mugs ;-)

'Guess what?!!'
'What?'
'They've brought out a range of fabrics called...
SNIPPETS!!....

So, whilst I played with Snippets, on the floor, this morning...

Putting together some fab patchwork packs...

... which will be in my shop soon!

And having fun...

Another member of the Snippets household was opening his belated birthday present from me...and playing too!!
Look ! He can hardly contain his excitement!! LOL ;-)

I have to admit that they are the coolest speakers I've seen in a long time!

And a sub woofer which looks like it has just landed here from outer space...

Playing music all morning.... whilst we both get on with our own thing..

And meeting up for the occasional coffee and chat!

If you live in South Devon...'Past Times', in Torquay have the Union Jack mugs..and a BIG BIG thanks to Tris for getting me mine!! ;-)

Much better than a sub woofer, any day...don't you think!!

Simple lid craft..with vintage Janet and John!!

Do you remember those Flora Doodles flowers, which I had a few weeks ago?
Some of them came in these lovely containers, which I didn't throw away..obviously ;-)

I thought they would make great picture frames!

So I added a vintage touch...

An old Janet and John book... mixed with some new papers which have a vintage twist...they're called 'Cut n Paste' by K&Co.
I'm a massive fan of their scrapbook papers...the best in my opinion.

So I took the lids...

And made some pictures...to hang on a child's wall..or craft room wall..or anywhere!

Play

Pet

Look

I only made five as I only had five lids..but any lids would do, I think!

Good old Janet and John..don't you just love 'em?
I do!
Ooops..here's Hans and Grietje (I picked that from a website of Dutch baby girl names!) trying to get in on the act!
It just doesn't roll off the tongue quite the same , does it? LOL!

Hope your day is going well ;-)
I'm off to look for more lids ;-)

Flag crazy... with a little help from CK!!

I woke up very early and lay awake for a while, simply contemplating!;-)

There's a craze sweeping the country right now, isn't there...The Union Flag..or Union Jack, as it is more commonly known.

So... how could I alter my clipboards, using this idea?!
And I played around for a while

There is a remarkable lack of scrapbooking papers which lend themselves to the old patriotic theme, in this country at least.

With this craze in mind, I am amazed that not one UK scrapbooking paper company is producing bright, bold, reds and blues...stripes,patterns,floral..you name it!
And could I find any in my pile ?

So, you know to whom and what I turned ?!

I'm loading this clipboard with papers , tags and 40 pieces of CK Ikea Rosali patchwork pieces!!
Woweee!
And a free Rosali FQ

The flags, on the front of the clipboard, are pockets in which to tuck things.

The fabric and papers will be tucked into more pockets on the back of the board.

OOAK..as they say.

It's in my shop now...
