Simple lid craft..with vintage Janet and John!!

Do you remember those Flora Doodles flowers, which I had a few weeks ago?
Some of them came in these lovely containers, which I didn't throw away..obviously ;-)

I thought they would make great picture frames!

So I added a vintage touch...

An old Janet and John book... mixed with some new papers which have a vintage twist...they're called 'Cut n Paste' by K&Co.
I'm a massive fan of their scrapbook papers...the best in my opinion.

So I took the lids...

And made some pictures...to hang on a child's wall..or craft room wall..or anywhere!

I only made five as I only had five lids..but any lids would do, I think!

Good old Janet and John..don't you just love 'em?
I do!
Ooops..here's Hans and Grietje (I picked that from a website of Dutch baby girl names!) trying to get in on the act!
It just doesn't roll off the tongue quite the same , does it? LOL!

Hope your day is going well ;-)
I'm off to look for more lids ;-)

  7. Whilst these look pretty, what are they for? Or if I have to ask, am I missing the point? Are they for children?
I have never seen Janet and John books as my children learned to read with Ladybird's Peter and Jane scheme and I learned with Ronald Ridout when I was about 6 or 7 (in the 1950s!!!)

Janet & John are wonderful icons of a 50's childhood... I love them too and the Gay Way series that I learnt to read with...
