Phew...what an evening!
It seemed ten times busier than last year as we struggled up the hill, at snail's pace!
A million other people had descended upon Totnes (I am not joking..it seemed like that!), no doubt all in search of...
At least I managed to find Amanda .
This was the Wacky band that had brought smiles to our faces last year...
Bert Miller and the Animal Folk
With a nutty singer and even more nutty lyrics we were treated to such songs as...
'Don't eat your friends'!!
LOL!
There really is nothing like live, street music!
This was the best bit of the evening as far as I was concerned!
And then it was back down the famous hill...and the worst bit..an hour's wait for a train!
Thank goodness for the iphone, modern technology and a 4-0 away win for the mighty Torquay United, to keep my spirits up!
;-)
What a nice atmosphere !
ReplyDeleteOhh, my parents had the same bird tree decoration !!! I forgot it but when I saw your photo I've remembered it ! Thank you Sal ! Warm wishes.
It all looks so wonderful Sal. We had those bird decorations on the tree when I was small. It is funny how Christmas decorations bring back memories.
ReplyDeleteThe little lady decoration is sooo cute!

Totnes looks so festive! I must admit, our local Christmas Fair/late night shopping was a bit of a wash-out, as it poured down the whole evening! Seeing your lovely photos has cheered me up no end!

Oh, what a lovely time you had in Totty-ness as my late Mum used to call it! I've been there today for lunch with a pal, and it's just lovely, a place with a real buzz to it.

It all looks so wonderful, Sal but like you I think I'd find the crowds hard work. I too remember having the bird decorations when I was a child as well as the other glass baubles which had to packed away so carefully each year:)
ReplyDeleteHere, here! Sorry we didn't meet up. It's such a shame I wasn't in the mood to spend....but I don't like crowds :( x
ReplyDeleteLove that glass bird, Sal - think he has found a perfect home on your tree. Wrap him carefully on Twelfth night so that he can sing again next Christmas.
ReplyDeleteOhh very cute decorations, and the band look like a real hoot!

What a lovely evening Sal. We went to an outdoor carol concert on Monday evening and it was a great way to get into the festive spirit ~ events like these are so special.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Christmas.
