Christmas delights !

East Ogwell is a pretty little village just a few minutes drive from where I live.
Not a lot happens there...apart from at Christmas time!

If you recall...

We (my sister and myself) easily found the Christmas house and couldn't wait to get inside!
And guess who was already there?
One Vintage Magpie!
I might have guessed that she would be flitting around all things shiny and bright!
;-)

It was lovely...
There was so much to take in !

And a very warm welcome there was too!
A place to rest awhile is always appreciated, especially when it involves comfy sofas, nibbles and a drink!
I didn't buy very much as I have vintage planted firmly in my head right now and so spent most of my pennies at the V&H Fair...but this little cottage, with its festive flavour, certainly stirs up one's enthusiasm for Christmas.

After that,
I was so very much in the Christmas mood
that I could not stop myself from coming home and sorting through all of my Christmas things so that I could give my visitors, the following day, an appreciation of Christmas...the 'vintage' way!

Sometimes a girl just has to give herself a good time!
More photos of that, next post!
;-)

  1. Hello Sal !
    Very, very nice "Xmas' house"
I saw it in "C.L" and on .... Vintage Magpie's blog, lol.
I say it again "j'aimerai beaucoup venir y faire un tour" !
    Bonne journée.

  2. And whilst you were having such a jolly ho-ho-ho Christmassy time in mid November, I was in Morrisons with a load of wallies who don't make shopping lists and who, apparently, seem to enjoy spending hours in a supermarket. All I wanted to do was get in, get my stuff and get out! Why is it when people (and I don't include myself!) almost come to a standstill when they walk around supermarkets - I've seen people walk faster through museums and art galleries where there are really interesting things to see!

  15. it looks a fab place, i went in a new card shop by the beach last week and in a little nook at the back they had a teeny tiny christmas shop with a fireplace it was really unexpected but really yummy to look out, i didnt buy anything either as im doing a vintage christmas, or maybe a mix of the both as I cant really afford the prices of vintage baubles this year, although i did get a bag of vintage bits for a pound from a cs but thats as far as my luck went! sorry for waffling on! fliss xx

  16. I can understand how you came out of there feeling Christmasy. Just looking at all the wonderful blogs at the moment has done it for me. I don't realise I'm singing 'It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas' until one of the kids will shout 'No it's not! It's still November!'. Ho (Ho) hum. xx
