Have a happy weekend!

Well, it's the weekend and all in all it's a bit of a 'mish mash' in my craft room right now.

Clipboard number 4 is finished...

And whilst I was having a very 'lazy ' spell, half watching 'Escape to the Country', I sat and made these simple hanging hearts.

And... not forgetting a few of these 'Santa's helpers' gift bags.
Years and years ago, my sister gave my children one each of these, with a gift inside.
I have no idea from whence they came but
I wrote down the idea in a book... and stumbled across it recently.

Christmas is coming on quite nicely!

I have a couple of weeks remaining before I start teaching again...so just enough time to make a few more bits for the fair!

And, for inspiration, I just love to have good books at hand at this time of year!

Two of my faves:

Published in 1983, I think you can still find it on Amazon.com, amongst the private sellers.

And this one is great for ideas and templates ...

Have a happy weekend everyone!
;-)

I am doing the little School Christmas fair. I don't have any Christmasy craft books so am having to do much thinking about what to make. Your post has inspired to get cracking :)

  16. Not being an expert at sewing I could make those hearts. Wrapping that ribbon around reminds me of making pompoms as a kid. Lots of lovely goodies in readiness for the fair. I hope you do well Sal. x

  18. They are all such lovely things - I really feel in an excited about Christmas coming mood having seen those (which is rare for me at this time of year).

So glad you are feeling better, sounds like you had an awful time - do keep taking it easy though - a friend of mine had something similar sounding, and reckons now it took her 6 months to fully recover - I don't say that to be depressing, but just to mention that with the benefit of a couple of years of hindsight, she feels she tried to do too much too soon, and that put her recovery back - better to take it slow than suffer a set back. That said, I am so pleased you are feeling better, and looking forward to enjoying more of your lovely makes. x
