You can guess what came home with me...

  7. SUNFLOWERS make me smile, I don't know why, I just see a smiley face in them! I have just bought some to put in a bouquet, They are so cheerful. I must make a trip to Newton Abbot in the near future too.

  8. I love Sunflowers and used to grow them along side the wall of our house as a child. It was fun to see how tall they grew.
    Did you now that each flower was in fact a head of many many flowers?
    If you look carefully you will see that each floret is positioned at an angle to each other which forms a beautiful pattern.

  10. Looks bliss Sal - and what a lovely farmers market too. Did you find those sunflowers drank vast quantities of water? I have some and i am having to fill the jug every day to keep them quenched.

  15. That looks like a great place to visit and shop! I love that Sunflower booth with it's colorful tablecloth to match....I can't blame you, I would have probably come home with a bouquet of those sunny beauties too.

  22. I love market days because there is always so much of interest. Newton Abbot is a place that I visited years ago, but I don't really remember it.
