Been nowhere, done nothing..not much to 'show and tell!!'

I've seen a lot of this place just lately...in fact I don't think I have felt as unwell in a very long time...the after effects of flu just seemed to drag on and on. (violins now please!)
I have not even had the energy to get stuck into these, properly...

In fact , I have a confession...this is the Christmas present that I gave my mum..a year's subscription...silly people got the order wrong and sent it to me...;-)

But today ...I feel much better and so, this morning, I introduced myself to my kitchen.

Cleaned my badly neglected bathroom...

I'm not a lover of my bathroom at all...tis not my taste but it's what was inherited..and is on the list for a 'makeover' ...one day!
That job done, I took one loooonnnnggg look in my craft room...

And promptly shut the door!!

Things I love this week....my new Ikea rug which brightens up my study...it reminds me of Joseph's amazing technicolor dreamcoat!

And as for this fab poster..I sneaked into the 'ex student ' quarters (it's ok, he said I could)..

I love it...the photos don't really do it justice...

Talking of Nich, it's his graduation ceremony on Saturday and so we all know where I'll be going, don't we ?!! ;-)

And finally..the day ended with two awards...which was better than any medicine a Dr could prescribe.

Thank you , Marie!

Here are the "rules" for sharing these awards with eight other bloggers:

These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these kind writers. When you pass the award along please include these guidelines. I am to choose eight friends to share this with....

Well to be honest I could not single out 8 blogging friends ..so if you have visited my blog and commented on here this year , please help yourself to these awards..it would give me great pleasure!

  3. Love your 'crafty' home, esp. your delightful kitchen. Hope you will feel well again, soon. Flu takes a lot of 'getting over' and, in any case, it's winter and a lot of animals hibernate in winter; I think we should sometimes follow their example. Enjoy peaceful afternoons in front of the fire with a magazine or book, that's what I recommend!

  4. Sorry to hear that you've had flu, the real thing takes a lot of getting over so be kind to yourself. As for the 1930s poster - it's just fabulous! I love that period anyway and all the travel posters then were superb. Wish I could step back in time and be in one of them with those beautiful elegant clothes.

  5. Yum, your kitchen is gorgeous! It looks great in your new banner at the top too. I'm so envious of your craft room, though I think if we ever have a spare room again there will be a fight between me and my husband over whether it's a sewing or a games room! Hope you feel 100% soon.

  6. I hope you get the better of the bugs Sal and get back to good health quickly. Your bathroom looks spotlessly clean as does your kitchen (I need to hang my head in shame!) I have such craft room envy looking at your well organised crafty bits and bobs. I must get on with tidying up my craft space and every other space around here!
