I'm back, briefly!... And, needless to say, completely in love with York! ;-)Completely in love with the beautiful Minster... my photos will never do justice to this wonderful cathedral. I was so much in awe. So lovely inside as well as out. (Just look at the sky whilst I was there!!)

York is my sort of place..totally! I can't wait to go back! I adored this city. We sampled various coffee shops, tea rooms, inns. We also did Jorvik.
And I wanted to shout to all of my friends...

Yes, I was there....(top of the league now ! ;-) T'was cold but worth it!
Much more of York to come over the next week or two...but now to more important things..a WINNER!!

ReplyDeleteIt's a great place isn't it. My great great grandfather had a shop in the Shambles in about 1900.

ReplyDeletelooks like you had a lovely time, great photo's. hubby and I usually go on christmas eve, look round the Minster and shops,so some last minute shopping and have a meal out, it makes it special as it's his birthday the day after

The look on Nich's face must have been a picture on his birthday,when he was festooned with all that CK stuff he never knew he needed. lol!

I love York too - we took the children down for a visit (we are in North Scotland, can see the Orkneys from here!)and I think we did exactly the same things! Shambles, Minster, Railway Museum, Jorvik. The kids are still talking about it.
