The things that please...and zippididoodah!!

Violette is a lovely little shop, just a stone's throw from Exeter city centre, in Castle Street. I went there today, for another browse !

You'll find furniture, fripperies and a whole lot more !

I noticed some lovely items made by 'Hesta' and I guess that must be the very same Hesta who I'll be meeting up with at the V&H fair!!

That's not to say that I didn't visit my other fave shop... Orange Tree!

I've earmarked this spotty CK bag as my 'Going away bag'...because I need one..Don't I?
Not that I 'go away' very often but...!!

Though I dare not mention it to Mr Snippets, as it's our wedding anniversary this week and..well, all will be revealed later on as to which colour bag CK I receive!!

Meanwhile, the very nice man in Orange Tree allowed me to snap some pics....all rather interesting to say the least.... as Christmas was in danger of becoming somewhat entangled in Halloween's rather large web!

I can't recall , in all my years of shopping, where I've seen Halloween and Christmas side by side.Anyway, I am going to leave the rest of those pics for later!

After a walk by the city walls...

....we made out way to a new blogger's 'habitat' to introduce ourselves to a newly acquired blogger friend...Josie Mary.

It's always lovely to put a face to a blog name! (Hi Jo!)
A most satisfying Saturday...and to end with...a funny...
Earlier today my darling husband suggested that I might like to have the 'ultimate in body piercing' as an extra anniversary pressy...

You have to laugh! (And this is not me in the pic!)

Hope your day was as good !! ;-)

  2. Looking forward to more pics inside those lovely shops. I gather from your husbands anniversary gift offer, that you've been married for quite a while!

  7. That's a really pretty shop. Yes, you do need a "going away" bag - you never know when you might go away at a moment's notice & then you can whip out your bag & be ready in a trice!

  9. Going away bag!!!! When will you get time to go away.. you have work to do Sal.. the fair is in a month's time!!!!!!!?

On a more serious note... I am always so tempted by your mentions of Exeter and all it has to offer. I mentioned this as a possible excursion to MR C.. but he muttered something about.. oh we won't be going there! Oh hum..I must persist with my subtle hints.

How lovely to meet a fellow blogger.. There are plenty more to meet soon!

  13. Naughty husband! I bought that big spider web (but in black) and a big furry spider at the weekend. I'll post a photo when I've got it up...
We must make it to Exeter, it's not far from our cottage. I'll add it to the list!
